JLR x Olive

JLR’s partnership with Olive has made bite-sized content from hundreds of courses readily available to JLR members. Now members can up their game, get personalised privileges, and extend their access to friends/family at their convenience.

About JLR

Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) is Britain’s largest automotive manufacturer, which designs, manufactures, and sells some of the world’s best-known premium cars. The principal activity of Jaguar Land Rover Limited is the design, development, manufacture, and sale of vehicles bearing the Jaguar and Land Rover marques.

Challenge faced by JLR

JLR operates an Employee Learning Scheme, entitling each of its 30,000 staff members to a training fund allocation per year to spend on their personal development outside of work (currently approx £75). This could be any course with a learning outcome, from cookery lessons, driving lessons, guitar lessons, photography, baby first-aid courses, or college base/online courses (including exam fees).

As beneficial as this incentive is to employees, the process was not accessible through any online application. Historically, employees had to visit offices onsite to discuss and book courses. Facing this challenge, especially during Covid-19, when travel was restricted, JLR looked for a solution. Mykademy proposed an automated standalone platform where people can browse and book courses through an app and website.

This would revolutionise JLR’s staff access to the training, with our high-quality tech helping their ability to manage suppliers, book courses, supplement the fund with an additional payments method, and various other innovative features.

Partnership benefits with Olive

The many offerings on a digital Learning Management System platform mean JLR employees can take any of our bite-sized courses on their phones or laptops, only needing an internet-accessible device. It also cuts out the hassle, as staff can gain access to the virtual training platform at any given time. Subsequently, it will help with further staff retention over time.

With over 100+ e-learning courses accessible on the platform, it makes the plan more available to staff who need to upskill and learn new subjects.
